Emergency Notification

The Illinois College state-of-the-art emergency notification system IC ALERT sends emergency notifications and important messages from the College to your mobile phone, Blackberry, wireless PDA, pager, Smart or Satellite phones, and email addresses, including “pop-ups” to Google, Yahoo, or AOL Personal pages.

Illinois College has contracted with Omnilert to provide the service, which enables students, faculty, and staff to “opt in” to be notified via text message in the event of an emergency, security alert, or weather alert.

The system enhances and improves the College’s existing campus communications to effectively send time-sensitive information wherever you are. IC ALERT will be used only for emergency contact purposes. IC ALERT will not be used to distribute advertising or other unsolicited content and will not be used to communicate routine notifications.

Subscribers to IC ALERT will pay no fees for the service, other than any regular fees associated with text messaging services by your provider. Signing up for IC ALERT is simple! Just click on the IC Alert links to sign up or update your contact information.

You will be prompted by an Authentication Required box for a user name and password. Use your network log in and network password. After you have been authenticated, you will be taken to the screen to create your IC Alert account.
